Plain-language summary (not a substitute for the terms below): RaRaMa is a deterministic, structure-only pre-bench screening tool for food & agriculture. It tells you which candidates are worth measuring. It is not a certified assay, and not medical, safety, or regulatory advice. You must validate before you act. You keep your data; we keep our method. Use of the service, an API key, or a returned result means you accept these terms.
RaRaMa returns structure-derived predictions (taste, aroma, off-note, masking, and protein-functionality / analytical readouts) from a chemical structure or protein sequence. Outputs are deterministic estimates for research and product-development triage only. They are not a certified analytical result, a food-safety determination, an allergen clearance, a nutrition claim, or medical / clinical advice, and must not be represented as any of those.
The service is offered for food and agriculture applications only. It is not offered for, and must not be used for, clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, or human / animal drug purposes.
The service is for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. You represent that you are authorized to enter into these terms on behalf of your organization.
You will (a) independently verify any prediction by appropriate laboratory or sensory testing before relying on it, formulating, or making any public or regulatory claim; (b) submit only structures / sequences you are authorized to submit; (c) use the service lawfully; and (d) keep your API key confidential (you are responsible for activity under your key).
You will not, and will not permit anyone to: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the underlying method, models, constants, or derivations behind the service; (b) resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service or its outputs as, or as part of, a competing prediction / screening service; (c) use the outputs to train, fine-tune, or benchmark a machine-learning model or to build a derivative predictor; (d) scrape, bulk-export, or systematically harvest beyond your plan; or (e) probe, disrupt, or circumvent the service's security, isolation, quotas, or metering.
Hans-Made Research Inc. owns and retains all rights in the platform, the method, the models, and the derivations (patent pending). Your input data and the specific deliverables generated for you remain yours. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use your outputs for your own internal research and product development, subject to Section 5. No other rights are granted by implication.
If you give us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.
Access is by plan (tier entitlement + monthly quota); usage is metered per run (tier and compound count), and requests beyond your plan are declined, not billed. Fees are stated in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise agreed, exclusive of taxes (you are responsible for any GST/HST/VAT/sales tax). Paid plans renew each period unless cancelled before renewal; fees are non-refundable except where required by law; we will give 30 days' notice of a price change.
THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Predictions are probabilistic screens with disclosed error bands and stated scope; a result may be wrong or out of scope, and the service may refuse an input it cannot place, and that refusal is a feature, not a defect.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hans-Made Research Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any decision, formulation, claim, loss, or recall arising from reliance on an output. Our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid for the service in the three months before the event, or CAD $100.
Nothing in Sections 9 and 10 excludes or limits any liability or statutory right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
You will defend and indemnify Hans-Made Research Inc. against third-party claims, losses, and expenses arising from your inputs, your use of or reliance on outputs, or your breach of these terms.
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or misuse. On termination your licence ends; you may request deletion of your data (see the Privacy Notice).
Your use is subject to the Privacy Notice (what we log, including IP address, why, how long, and your rights). Where we process personal data on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement (incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable) is available on request and forms part of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Manitoba have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms together with the Privacy Notice are the entire agreement between us on their subject. You may not assign them without our consent; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
